We hope you are having a great summer.As you all should have read in our enrollment packet, our uniform policy for 2010-2012 has changed.We are blessed to use the services of a local Christian business, myLord Clothing Company, to purchase our uniforms.It is very important that you review the following information because there are several time sensitive actions that must be taken on your part!!
ALERT – TIME SENSITIVE INFORMATION!!
·Uniform tops with the logos can only be purchased through the school.
·The opportunity to purchase uniform tops only occur at certain times throughout the year.The first deadline is Friday, July 23, 2010.The next opportunity will occur sometime in October.
·I must receive your sizes and additional uniform orders by July 23 in order for you to have uniforms by the start of school.The forms were originally included with your enrollment packet and due back by July 8.Please email me at cdixon@parksideca.org or fill out the uniform order form below if you desire to purchase additional items.
Purpose of Uniforms:
The purpose of the School Uniform Policy is to encourage our students to improve and expand academic excellence, to experience a greater sense of school identity and belonging, to encourage an improvement in student behavior, to reduce school clothing costs, to encourage a high level of program participation and to provide additional opportunities for increased school safety.
Uniform Guidelines:
·ALL STUDENTS in grades 1-10 are required to wear uniforms that have the Parkside (PCA) or Cross Factor (CFA) logo. (NO EXCEPTIONS) PS and Kindergarten students do not wear uniforms and are only required to wear Parkside t-shirts on field trips.
Student uniform colors are based on your child’s class:
Elementary: Light Blue tops(Grades 1 - 3)
Middle School: Yellow tops (Grades 4 - 6)
High School: White tops (Grades 7 - 10)
ALL STUDENTS (except PS-K) are required to wear a Light Blue Oxford with logo on CHAPEL DAYS! (Boys in Middle School and High School must also wear PCA/CFA ties.)
ALL STUDENTS (except PS-K) are required to wear a Yellow Parkside T-shirtor White Cross Factor T-shirt and PCA/CFA Navy Sweatpants or PCA/CFA Navy athletic shorts GYM DAYS! Grades 1 - 3 can wear navy shorts or sweatpants with no logo.
Students required to wear uniforms must wear dark shoes - black or dark brown. Sneakers of any color or style may be worn during GYM HOURS ONLY!
Uniform bottoms must be khaki or navy blue cotton/polyester blend type pants, skirts, shorts or skorts. You cannot substitute denim, corduroy or other material types that are the same color.The uniform bottoms can be found at stores such as Target, Sears, Walmart, Burlington Coat Factory and JCPenney.
If your child desires to wear outerwear during school hours, they must purchase outerwear (sweaters, sweatshirts, etc) with the logos.
PCA/CFA T-shirts or sweatshirts must be worn on field trips by all students (PS – 10th grade).Preschool and Kindergarten students will receive 1 T-shirt as a part of the activity fee.The Summer Enrichment Program t-shirts are acceptable for field trips and gym as well.
The activity fee includes the following uniform items:
1 Short-sleeve polo
1 Long-sleeve polo
1 Long-sleeve oxford
1 T-shirt
1 pair of athletic shorts
1 tie (middle school and high school boys only)
Parents may purchase additional uniform tops if desired through the school.Please use the uniform order form to purchase additional items.The required uniform items are highlighted in grey.
